The original Smart Parts Ion from back in 2005, no upgrades no after market parts, totally stock.
My views on the Ion-Its old, it is not as well made in comparison to other guns for its price on the market now, HOWEVER!!!! When this gun came out you could not beat it for the price, no way possible that this gun was going to be beat for its price back in 05-06.
These days, the Ion is an older gun, its flaws have been totally realized. I don't recommend it for any one who doesn't like it, i don't recommend it for any one who can do better. But, its a nice gun to have.
Ive been into paintball probably longer then. Why shouldnt I watch this?

@CrankTheHeat Shit son, I dunno. Smart Parts went bankrupt anyways, if you got half a brain you wouldn't watch it anyways.

I just bought this online for 109 instead of buying my friends auto cocker pump for 100. Did I make a good or bad decision? Ive played before but its my first gun. What do you recomend upgrading besides the feed neck?

@MetalLover64 Well, while the feed neck is (in my opinion) the most important part to buy, i'd go with a new trigger. The stock triggers seem to wobble a bit and have a very cheap feel to the pull-while they do maintain a good roll and won't break on you. I also recommend a new barrel. Stock barrels have pretty bad drop in comparison to Freak or All American barrels.

@asian4life321 I tend to think so, however, Smart Parts went out of business, so good luck finding one.
