A Simple Message from br. Jalal ibn Saeed - Playing Catch Up

Assalaam. Thank you for visiting our 1Eid Appeal. I will be brief ia.

At the Pre Eid Dinner we had two major donors who pledged to make 1Eid ul Adha 2010. One person pledged £15,500. Thus I believe many did not pledge thinking we hit our target. Sadly this person has not paid to this day since July when it was pledged.

This harmed us greatly and thus we did not have 1Eid ul Adha and joined a local park event who were also hosting a 1Eid of their own. Many thought that was us since it was the only 1Eid in London. Many complained due to poor quality event with wet carpets drenched venue and muddy Eid clothes.

Also, by not having our own 1Eid ul adha we were not able to have a fundraiser for the following pre eid dinner or the following 1Eid event. This has set us behind. We need to play catch up and then hope we have more careful pledges made insha'Allah.

We waited and hoped the pledge would come through but have finally decided to move on and try to appeal to you again, our brothers and sisters who always support a good cause when you see one.
