gatsby festival while aboard a vintage touring car

We went to the great gatsby fesitval at the tallac historic site in south lake tahoe, california for the first time this year, their 24th year, the kids loved it, we took a neighbor/friend of emerson and spent 4 hours playing vintage children's games, touring historic homes, viewing period costumed performers play music, sing and perform duties of the era....the blacksmith shop was in full operation and we all watched as they made and forged useful items for sale, a great day...FREE except for the food we purchased!

It will be a regular event we will try to attend every year! all with lake tahoe as the backdrop, the tea gardens, trout stream and natural beauty draw us there for normal enjoyment but the added fun of the kids sitting in vintage fire trucks and riding around and seeing history come to life is priceless
