Dutch dressage superstar Anky van Grunsven competed at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games -- on the reining team! She gave a freestyle reining performance at the freestyle-reining exhibition at WEG.

Were any of you who are criticizing Anky originally trained to ride English? Western and English are two completely different disciplines. She's proven herself in English (Three golds oughta get ya SOMETHING) now she's breaking habits that she was a lifetime training into herself. So, that being said...Judge not.

@TheJDeaux I ride english now but was originally trained western when I was a kid(reining, barrels, poles, etc). Whether shes reining or doing dressage, the woman is always on the horse's mouth and never gets out of their face with the reins. She doesn't deserve to be well known like she is, simply because of her rollkur riding style.

She should have been disqualified at 1:02 when she made the transition from 1 to 2 hands. Freestle or not, NRHA rules say you have to pick one or the other, not both. And yes I agree with the larger part of the population, the music thoroughly sucked.
