Jean Schmidt Fauxtogate

A doctored photo is found on Schmidt's official campaign web site proving that she lied about her 1993 Columbus Marathon results.

The original photo was found, which clearly shows Schmidt was not at the finish line at the time depicted. Official race results confirm this is true. Schmidt's web site tries to further distort the story by linking to her 2003 (not 1993) marathon results.

In short:

Schmidt claimed to have raced in the 1993 Columbus Marathon, but she is nowhere to be found on official race results logs.

Schmidt's campaign team doctors a photo by adding Schmidt to the finish line. Photo experts immediately spot the photo as a fake. The Ohio Elections Commission orders an investigation, ruling that probable cause exists that the photo was faked.

The original photo surfaces, clearly showing Schmidt was NOT at the finish line as she claims. Official race results confirm this.

Desperate to control the damage, Schmidt's web site links to race results from 2003 (not 1993), in a pathetic attempt to confuse voters and cover up the fact that she lied about her participation in the 1993 Columbus Marathon

It is funny that the shots were she is not in the photo her shadow still is. So who doctored the photo, her or the person trying to say she did?

She was cleared of this. I hear there were other photos showing her cross the line.

The elections commission issued Schmidt and her campaign a public reprimand for saying she had a second degree that she never received however.

Personally, I think lying about a degree you dont have is WORSE than the marathon accusation by far.
