@ryan01ist You can paint spheres by group selecting over multiple spheres and painting them with whatever you want (it's a glitch).

Yes, you can paint them whatever you want. You won't be able to see what they are painted though.
Weird ones:
Jingle blox--No effect
Multi-hit Vanish--Invisible
Hull blox--Invisible and immobile

Group select the balls and then paint them as bombs.
