Andreas Scholl - needless to say something about his great performance. Best violin player too.
But i don't love this kind of "modern" productions. Costumes, stage-outfit are strange to me.

I love the artistry and the humour.There's nobody like Scholl!And I agree .the violinist is great.This is the very best DVD of Handel's "Giulio Cesare"

@LifeforArt I tend to agree with you sir. they should have asked the Roman costumes from HBO's ROME series... :-) and adopt a pyramid like setting r the great beacon of the ancient Alexandria port which was the capital of Egypt at that time. nevertheless their performance is excellent. :-)

I'm amazed by his voice and ashamed that I didn't know him before though he's a "compatriot" of mine. I sing classical, too and I'm so impressed by the airiness of his voice's sound!
