When I was a child I played this game and three other intelliviseon games (frog bog, a game like donkey kong and I think space armada) at my grandmothers house :) Good old times <3

And this game seriously has the simplest background "music" ever... get yourself a snare drum and go TFF ... TFF ... TFF ... TFF ... TFF ...

I just got this game, but for some reason I can't get any sound out of the console. I think I need a new cable. It's fun to play even without the sound.

I was really badass at this game, I got 99 extra lives and scored more than a million points on it, man it was a hell of a an addictive game. I still have it, haven't played it for like 20 yrs :( Awesome game and a awesome time, I miss it so much...

i still have mine as well, i use to get 1 million points plus, once you hit the million is goes so fast you dont even have time to blink, i think the most i got was about 1.2 to 1.3 million

@papercandles There is one flash port I think called "Astroflash", not many others, and that port really sucks and isn't anything like the original (most flash games aren't due to copyright issues).

One site made a modernized Astrosmash port with modern graphics but I think there was a dispute there as well over copyright. You can skip all that BS by downloading an intellevision emulator and ROM for Astrosmash, then you can play the very original on your computer.
