...Dan Van Massenhoven(sp) is reffing in NHL? How's he in that job, seen him in the world championships plenty of times and every time every game he has been utterly brutal, he shouldn't be anywhere near NHL.

No, I don't believe it's a conspiracy. I do however believe we get less respect from the refs because our owner sucks and we have a crappy team. This is true.

Even when the leafs suck they still get respect from the NHL.

It's not just us. I was watching a Habs Flyers, and there was a call the Flyers didn't get that was obvious, then 20 seconds later they called a BS hooking penalty or something. The frigging ref is from Montreal. What is he doing reffing a Habs game?

@vikingrich If you're implying that the refs knew Hamonic didn't highstick him and used this as an excuse to boot him, (which I'm going to assume because of your previous comment about the Toronto ref), you're insane. The Hamonic call was just bad refereeing. The Isles are a bad team, with a bad GM and a bad owner and THAT'S why they lose. I'm not being a dick here, just stating the truth, because hey, the Leafs used to be in this same situation too, but I didn't put a tinfoil hat on like you.

Search "hamonic miscounduct." Isles get screwed all the time, that's what makes this worse. If this was an isolated incident it would be fine, but it's just not.
