You have the same problem with police that you do with politicians: The guy that wants the job is usually the last guy that should have it. They should have been prosecuted for assault, anyone else sure as hell would have been. I understand all the issues police face and am sympathetic to the use of force, but in this case resigning and being fired is not enough for the two cops, there should be some formal punishment. Police officers for the most part have a lot of tolerance and get reamed left and right by angry and drunk people. This simply did not have to and should not of happened and to call it an unfortunate event is an understatement...
