From I see Hugh is really smart, and plays our his frustration by anger. He is most likely ignored by his parents and family. I am almost certain that if this kid was given something he was interested in he would excel. But he finds things dull,

im 24 deal with the same things as this kid does. he is very smart. one of the main things that relates to real serious depression you understand to much of your surrounding to the point where you have over come the feeling of atomosity and feeling like your desperate

my cousin has bipolar disorder, she's well into her 20s. It is a very real disease (for adults that is, dunno if you could really justify it in kids) but my point is that while she has it and has been diagnosed and spent multiple times in psyche wards at hospitals, she now can control it simply on diet and natropathic means.

Drugs aren't always necessary even for sure cases.

There is this great TV Show "Worlds Strictest Parents" you can find it on youtube..

it is really amazing how people change within 2 weeks once they are in a family where the parents actually care (even if it are not their children)

they are not really strict in the meaning of beating their kids lol.. no thats not the point.. the show should be called "worlds worst parents" meaning the families where the kids acutally grew up´,.. but than obviously nobody would take part in that show ;)

This comment is going to make a lot of people mad but it is true and needs to be said. A lot of parents are simply lazy and want to have a pill "parent" their child(ren). However there are many kids that actually NEED to be medicated. Unless you have walked a mile in the shoes of a parent who has had to make the decision to medicate or not medicate then don't open your mouth because you simply don't understand.
