Bill Hicks and some Pink Floyd .... Echoes part 1, Live at Pompeii, beautiful lyrics!
Just cause they both rock and Dave Gilmour was seriously, SERIOUSLY sexy.... (um, if i only had a time machine..... ; )
And Bill? Well... how RIGHT he is!!!

PEACE and LOVE

Echoes (Waters, Wright, Mason, Gilmour)

Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
An echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine.

And no one called us to the land
And no one knows the where's or why's.
Something stirs and something tries
Starts to climb toward the light.

Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand
The best I can.

And no one called us to the land
And no one crosses there alive.
No one speaks and no one tries
No one flies around the sun....

Almost everyday you fall
Upon my waking eyes,
Inviting and inciting me
To rise.
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning.

And no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....

  • Bill Hicks and Pink Floyd, great choice man!

  • Fervent lips with a wicked heart, Are like earthenware covered with silver dross. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him. A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it, And a flattering mouth works ruin. Do NOT boast about tommorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful - Proverbs

FEAR NOT, PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMY- Jesus

  • There is music then there is Pink Floyd. They will never be topped.

  • Aaah it's refressing to here real music every once in a while. Music that has no time limit. Music that speaks without speaking.

  • "And I am you and what I see is me" - my all-time favorite lyric! So profound, so avant garde! And yes, Dave was very beautiful when he was young, did you know he was a male model before PF?

  • I love riding....the ride...that is life!!!lol riding rocks my world....I think hicks meant, we all have a mid life crisis.....naw,he's right though, deep.

love it,never get bored of seeing this clip,I could watch it again and again and again...infact,I do

  • Damn woman! The more videos you make, the more superflyness you expose to the world. Woot!

Just A Ride.....One of the greatest little monologues in histiry, for sure.

I had the pleasure of seeing Floyd live at RFK Stadium back in '94....fucking great time! People always tell me I was born in the wrong generation. LOL!

  • Can never see enough of Bill, shame he is dead (for us). Saw Roger Walters at the wall concert 1990 to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall, at the Brandenburg Gate. Some of the lads in my unit got to go on stage as actors in uniform removing the bricks from the wall (stage backdrop) during the concert (bringing the wall down), them were times!

  • Great video!

  • Very cool.
