The Voices Series takes a closer look at some of the alumni of De La Salle - Zobel to better understand how the school helped them become the individual they are now.

Eric Buhain, batch 87, is best known for being the finest swimmer this country has ever produced. But few truly comprehend the sacrifices he undertook to be successful in the pool and in the classroom. In the end, it was all worth it.

Second of a series.

Produced by psychoCOW productions and the DLSZAA.

  • I was one of Eric's swimmers, back in the days when he was coaching ESSDA. It's quite nostalgic to hear him talk about -his own- experiences as a student athlete, because they are similar to my own experiences under him. While I may have stopped swimming long ago, I will always remember Eric for showing me (not just TELLING me) that discipline and perseverance truly do lead to excellence.
