Yeah, John's a really good guy, and I consider the YouTube community pretty lucky to have people like him sharing his insights with us for free. The same is true for most of the YouTubers who regularly do videos. They don't have to take their time to do vids to inform other people about things they NEED to know, but they do. Great stuff!

John really is a sweet and generous person. :)
Kudos on the gift!!! You must have really done one hell of a vid to deserve all that silver! :-0

Thanks for sharing, I'll have to pick up some of those nice Australian coins.

@BitisNajaLover Thats right.
-
@cutlerylover The coin has a currency value - which gives it that status. I think the elite know this, It may be they don't have to pay tax on it when it is converted?
-
@CAIDMASTEROFPYRO I am still getting to the bottom of this. They put a monitory value on the coin. It gives it a currency status. I want to know the reason why this is so important.
-
Why is it so important to have a dollar value to the coins. They are troy ounces, I have been told that is gives it currency status?
Has this a tax advantage?

Those are some extremely beautiful coins man, very amazing gift.

Jeff, now all you need is a two oz kookaburra, and a kilo kookaburra

You have to see how amazing it is to cuddle a real Koala. They are so soft and fat and quite heavy, believe it or not. They are much heavier than they look. They are like little tanks. :) And hey, no big deal about calling the Koala a koala bear. Lots of people call them that because they don't know its not a bear. Big deal. We know what you mean. :)
i don't think it was a ten ounce coin because it said ten dollars on the back and ten ounces is worth more than ten bucks

face value is an older concept, this was worth $10 in australia when silver was worth alot less, as silver gained value the face value never changed...

i dont understand about those first coins you showed. you can spend them and they are worth a $1 in Australia? but they are also 1 troy of silver?
if so thats pretty crazy, what if you were working somewhere and someone paid you with that $10 coin that was really worth hundreds of dollars

yes the coisnm themselves have face value so in australia its $1 nywhere and can be used that way, but not many woudl do that knowing its worth more in silver...
