hey - just got a magnaflow 11148 and I love the way yours sounds. I'm thinking to do the same with the repacking - could you explain where you opened yours? what side did you open is on? and how much packing did you put? i appreciate it. thanks

@deanadams1969 I had no idea Magnaflow built anything but chambered mufflers. At any rate sounds great.

I don't repack the magnaflow muffler, I just clean up the inside tubing some, it's pretty rough in there for flow. I build my own custom systems, this one was strictly a test pipe to see what it sounds like.

Hey Dean that has a nice low rumble to it. And no packing to blow out. Could be a winner.

It's got packing, stainless steel wrap and rock wool filling around the perforated tube. It's supposed to have a lifetime warranty from Magnaflow, but I blew that when I chopped the inlet/outlet off and welded new ones on.
