people is global warming a natural event? yes. is it hapenning yes. is it because of CO2 emmissions . no . yes it is agreeable by all of us that emissions from a car or factory are harmful.....why? simply put its unhealthy to have smoke in the air....duh. thats obvious but is it contributing to global warming....no....the evidence points to this. what is contributing to global warming is the sun and the solar flares and sunspots happenning there. in fact our whole solar system is warming

Meanwhile the Planet cools and the Greenhouse Theory falls apart.

If you want to be alarmed about something, maybe start worrying about the next impendig global ice age, blizzard temps, massive glaciation, open tundra with no very limited crop growth, no food, 10+ billion mouths to feed by then. Lets all enjoy the warmth while it lasts people.

Please dont get offended, just thought this was clever.

CO² comes from Coal, Coal comes from fossilised trees, fossilised trees come from growing trees, tree growth comes from CO², therefore Coal is carbon neutral.

We'll all know either way in 10 years. Meanwhile, it certainly is fascinating if you enjoy sums and stuff.

Nobody attacks his arguments, only his person (yeah, as if the global warming proponents AREN'T on the gravy train, for Christ; grants, crony capitalism, etc.).

Australian climate change contrarian Robert M. Carter, Ph.D., and Liberal-aligned think-tank the Institute of Public Affairs, have been named in documents leaked from key US climate change denial organisation The Heartland Institute to DeSmogBlog. Carter apparently receives US$1,667 per month, funding which is provided to “high-profile individuals who regularly and publicly counter the alarmist AGW message”. Other recipients are US-based skeptic Craig Idso and serial contrarian Fred Singer.

[Bob Carter] has attracted harsh criticism from other scientists such as David Karoly, James Renwick and Ove Hoegh-Guldberg. A Sydney Morning Herald reporter wrote that Carter "appears to have little standing in the Australian climate science community."

[papers] from The Heartland Institute revealed that Carter was paid a monthly fee of $US1667 "as part of a program to pay 'high-profile individuals who regularly and publicly counter the alarmist [anthropogenic global warming] message'."

Scientists have spent decades figuring out what is causing global warming. They've looked at the natural cycles and events that are known to influence climate. But the amount and pattern of warming that's been measured can't be explained by these factors alone. The only way to explain the pattern is to include the effect of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emitted by humans.

Its just a way for the government to control us. By keeping us occupied in front of Tv or keep us ranting on computer's so the government's and big corporation's can do what they want. So are they stupid for telling us this or are we stupid for believing it?? We need to think for ourselves and we need to wake up and kick some government ass. "Physically" just like they do to us when we say or do anything they don't like. "People wake up" It's our world and we don't have to take it.
