Henry Ford said, "In the long run people are going to buy the cheapest, and best article no matter where it's made." If only the American car makers had learned this lesson they wouldn't have needed a bailout. Hum, Ford was the only that didn't.

  • I'm one of the few that liked the Aztek. I admit it, I'm like the canary in the coal mines when it comes to cars. If I like it -- it's probably a goner.

  • If they gave away a sandwich with every car would have sold a million of them. OK, maybe not. But that back compartment would have made a great aquarium.

  • @mrpitv If you Mean The Pontiac Aztek-- I Love The Aztek I dont know how people dont like the aztek

  • Iacocca was an IDIOT!

  • @eskimochild87 That's Lee Iacocca, the president/chairman of Chrysler Plymouth, who I believe took a bail out in the late 80s.

  • I think it's hilarious that the cars that overtook America were made in Germany and Japan - the countries we whooped just a few years earlier.

That should have taught us something, but it didn't.

  • I almost bought a Pacer when they came out. I was looking for an economical car with lots of room and a smooth ride.

Believe me, the Pacer had all that. The problem was: it was UGLY. I just couldn't see myself driving this in public. Maybe after dark, but that's it.

    lol

OMG, I just about fell over laughing! There's old Lee Iacocca bragging about "Yankee Ingenuity" and the next thing we see is an AMC Pacer.

    THAT IS HILARIOUS

  • I bet Ford wished that they hadn't pissed Lee Iacocca off and forced him to Chrysler.
