Strikes against my account

I'm not very happy. The videos that have recently recieved strikes were already resolved to my knowledge and I had deleted them almost a year ago. They are also off CD's that I still have up songs for.

That makes sense and I totally agree with you there. If a band asks me to remove a song (which one has) I will be happy to remove it. The only thing I have a problem is when a music group (not a record label) says I am infringing copyright. I don't mind a label asking me to remove the music but I don't like music groups like WMG trolling youtube removing stuff that the record companies don't mind being their. WMG didn't have a problem with this until recently when they had a legal dispute over $

Im not criticizing you for the videos getting strikes 6 months later, that I agree is bull sh!t. And I can also agree, the laws dont always make sense, but the laws are the laws for a reason. Hell, I have videos infringing too, for the same reasons... however, if they wanted to, the can use the law against me in the fullest, and I'd lose simply because I (you/we) don't have consent. Personally, I now create or use royalty free music, because YT isnt worth $250,000 and possible jail time

I saw this post second so I'm going to reply to this as well. If you do a quick google search you will see that people aren't really stealing a lot of music from youtube. Most cd's are stolen through torrents and other types of illegal downloads. If I am breaking the law by posting songs on youtube to show people bands that I think are good than sue me because I'm never going to stop and neither are the thousands of others doing the same thing.

If you can hold an actual debate and not just come in here and criticizing me for posting copyrighted material knowing there is a chance it might be removed. I have no problem with removing it if asked, I have a problem with getting strikes 6 months after a video has been removed. Look around youtube, there is so much copyrighted music here because thats what the fans want, the bands don't mind most of the time and the only people caring are the corporations that own the labels and take money.

Now, Copyright laws states it can not be reproduced in any form by law. videos on youtube dont fall under the fair use honestly, and it still will catch up with everyone. Now, go fucking block me douche
