@yuri35434 What are you talking about, the Canadian banking system was set up smartly with the market principals in mind.Ie maximum exposure to market forces. The specific regulations Harper opposed were ones that limited exposure to global markets and sheltered Canadian banks. Paul Martin deserves credit though.

You miss the point, the bigger the government the more regulation the more power that big business has that was never given to them by the consumer.

@EasyEs How is having regulation in our banking system which the liberals have added in opposition by Harper that requires some capital for loans a bad thing? It prevents our banking system from becoming as bad as the United States, their banks were all Enrons waiting to happen. We need big government to fight big business, because of their lack of a social conscious. There needs to be law in the market to maintain a minimum standard of acceptable behaviour.

What is best for Canada's people is that the people who work to give us the goods and services we want as well as the jobs we need are corporations that are healthy. Only morons think regulation and social engineering through taxation helps out the average Canadian. But go ahead and see what happens all you'll get is big companies pushing out smaller ones with the help of the government. That is a result of liberalism.
