    For more resources dealing with spin transfer, see "spin transfer" in the FAQ section of my website (billiards DOT colostate DOT edu).

    Sidespin is much more persistent (i.e., it lasts longer) than backspin. It wears off more on the way to the rail with slower shots, but less spin is transferred on faster shots. See the website for more info.

  • Although short, I found this video to be one of the most thought provoking. (Along with NV B.20)

    I would really like to know more about how cut angles and speed affect induced english on the object ball. I know that spin transfer can change the path of the object ball of of a rail, but only for relatively perpendicular angles of incidence into the rail, right?

    Additionally, how long does this spin last before it is converted into forward roll? Only long enough for a straight back?
