It was a magical, simple, happy time to be alive. So much different from today's world. Of course there were problems, the world was imperfect. But a schoolyard fight didn't include guns, knives and other weapons-a fistfight and you were friends. Everyone went home, had time to cool off; and that was it. Ok time for a mini biography. Andrew was born in summer 1951. His sisters Martha and Melani were born in 1953 and 1962 respectively. I think that pretty much gives away that this song is auto-biographical. His mother is Marni Nixon. She is the playback singer for Deborah Kerr in the film the King and I (also with Yul Brynner). Andrew's father was Austrian Jewish. Andrew died age 59 of heart failure in June 2011.
