Rolling the shoulders whilst swimming front crawl assists in keeping a high elbow during the over-arm phase, minimises upper body resistance through the water as well as extending the reach for each individual stroke.

  • Thanks, a very usful info!

  • @fmamand Thank you, I'm pleased you found the YouTube clips useful.

  • i have a swimming exam and i failed by 6 seconds becuse when cuz i get tired easily, my stamina is great but is there any tips i can use to save energy

  • @LeonardVeliu1 Thanks for watching and posting your comment. It's hard to say without seeing you swim but generally speaking I would focus on timing of the arms and strength of pull to increase distance per stroke and relax the breathing. Most swimmers tire due to a fast arm rate with very little distance per stroke. Good luck!

  • great quality..great tips, fantastic work..in practice I have some issues since my times, strokes have increased :-) but I guess it s not supposed to work right immediately, right? do you have also a homepage where we could subscribe and exchange opinions/ experiences?

  • I always find you are breathing to one side. My teacher insists we breath on both sides..alternating. Can you show a clip to help with that thanks?

  • Mark i almost disagree with this, isnt that too much rotation?, almost 90 degrees i see, doing that at the end would lose more energy than what is trying to save...

  • The closest video we have for this would be the 'Front Crawl Breathing Technique' one. Hopefully this will help? There are many approaches with breathing so your best option might be to have a go yourself from what you research, but then after that seek some professional guidance / coaching. Good luck.
