  • These are the sounds of hope after a big tragedy.

  • This piece is exactly why I fell in love with music. As a girl I didn't understand it, but I knew it warmed my heart. From that moment I knew I wanted to warm other people's heart as well. Something so beautiful is not worth being lost in forgetfulness.

  • @tszabados these are the words of your imagination

  • Being a pianist, of rather bad habits I may add, I occasionally learn songs and forget them as time passes on. This will forever be the piece I choose to be able to play through heart, without the need of the notes to guide me any longer, this very movement is the one piece I will always play should anyone ask me how I go about being a pianist.

  • when your internet buffers on a piece like this i wanna hit the computer

  • the original Charlie Brown movie brought me here :')

  • The way Beethoven wrote this, the right hand plays part of the bass cleff from the bass staff, not from the bass clef IN the treble staff, as this public domain sheet music shows. Get the 'Urtext' by Schenker, you will see what I mean. You can tell which notes go with each hand from the fingering that is indicated, and the direction of the stems.

He felt very strongly about it, but no printer would/could print it that way at the time. I find it hard to sight read as shown here.

  • Every second movement of Beethoven's Sonatas are always like this; very melodic and speaks of worlds unknown and peaceful.

  • I miss you. And I hate the fact that you will never hear me play this song for you.

  • @mspianosoul Don't worry. For the next thousands of years, this music will also warm other people's hearts, just like yours. And then people will finally understand what music is.

  • @enjoilife1128 i'm pretty sure she meant to say she didn't understand the piece as a kid. nothing funny or insulting about that.

  • Whew! You're right. I just finished reading a sad book (the second time, I had to refresh my memory for a school assignment).

I hate the ending but love it, and though it's not real, every time I read the last chapter I start getting teary with a lump in my throat. So now I am listening to this so I don't get too lost in the un-reality of novel-dom!
