If you are a boxer, kickboxer or mixed martial artist you need to learn how to wrap your hands correctly to protect the small bones called metacarpal's which move your fingers. You also want to protect your thumb from getting a bent backwards and breaking it. Whether you are a real kickboxer, or a poser (especially if you are a poser, because the people who can't wrap their hands correctly, and they fall off halfway through their work out pretty much give away their level of experience).
