This is where I throw my caution. As a black man with native ancestry I am admittedly happy that there is a black man in our countries highest office, yet I caution being decoyed by mere skin tone, due to the fact at the end of all of it is politics. I need proof of change before I put my faith in any man, white, black, native, etc. because anyone can play the part of a puppet in the White House. Till I see that change I feel we need to continue to push for what we'd like to see taking place.

How can Blacks give Native Americans a fair share of the African pie, when blacks don't have their own fair share of that pie? This occupied land isn't in possession of the blacks, it never has been. And no, most blacks that have any type of awareness don't think it is peachy for Natives, but complaining about the problems and not doing nothing to solve them is the burden of all of us. We need dialogue to recognize the problems and more action to solve them.
