@horsymad100 It's okay. =) No harsh feelings, I just try to educate people about our wonderful horses and there are many misconceptions, as there are with HJ's, stock horses, and Race horses. I used to be very agaisnt race horses until I went and worked at a track. Yes there are bad people in every discipline. And also Saddleseat, is a form of english. Have a nice day! =)

@ParkTrotPlease Yeah I see what you mean. I ride english and havn't really tried riding differently so I guess my comment was uneccessary.

@horsymad100 That's saddleseat hun. We sit far back to avoid from inhibiting their movement and give their shoulder freedom. And if you look at the bone structure of a good saddleseat horse compared to a good hunter jumper, they have the conformation for it. And no, it's not crushing their kidneys. lol I thought it was odd at first also, as I c ame from H/J. A lot of the men ride with much longer stirrup than needed and post off their stirrup rather than the knees.
