Is every saved because their sins have been forgiven?
The Scripture does not teach that salvation is given by having one's sins forgiven. In Romans 5:9-10, while we were enemies of God (meaning we were unsaved) but now we were reconciled (peace together) to God by the death of His Son. The reconciliation does not mean one is saved. It means the enmity between God and mankind as a result of Adam's sin has been removed by Jesus' death on the cross. This is clearly shown in 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 2 Corinthians 5:14 to 6:2 and Colossians 1:20. Universal reconciliation is a sound Biblical doctrine, but universal salvation is not in the Bible.
