James Taylor at the Beacon Theatre, New York. A song about Northern Ireland then...or it could just as easily be the Middle East now. Who will say "this far, no further"?
I've just discovered this from the Transatlantic Sessions (BBC I think) from Scotland. BEAUTIFUL song, and lovely sentiment. One of my top 5 songs I've discovered this year.
Agreed for the most part. I like the bagpipes, but I do like this version w/out the drums. Simpler is usually better and more profound when it comes to music, IMO.
to be fair he did write this song whilst in belfast, so maybe being surrounded by the history and the people and the stories he as inspired by the events of my home town.
Im sick of Americans coming up with solutions for the troubles, and come on we no longer blow each other up, i should have know taylor would have jumped on the Social bandwagon of those who care about Northern Ireland. Im sick of this.
I agree also. There was no need to add anymore layers to this song. It was perfect as it is here. JT has always been best alone with his guitar anyway.
LOVE THIS SONG !!!!
