  • Hey guys have you heard that Premier Farnell (element14) has launched an internet-based design resource as part of its element14 website called "the knode". Want to know more, plz visit element14 website.

  • TO: teslaresearch,

    I'm not sure where you got the idea I invested LOTS OF MONEY in either company or the market; I said nothing about that in my message, but your comments tell me that like a teenager, you think you know it all, but really don't have a clue.

    By the way, check out the P/E for Microchip and Atmel. The P/E for Microchip is doing very well, but as for Atmel, the P/E (and other factors) says they are in trouble.

  • HI-TECH C PRO FOR THE PIC10/12/16 MCU Family (Lite mode) FREEWARE

  • I don't know which world you are live, but there is something called a "global crisis" and there are many problems in the market for microcontrollers. I think you don't have TV. LOL

    AVR COMPILER:

    $150 Personal License

    $ 300 Educational License

    $ 1500 Comercial License

    And only for XMEGA and megaAVRs uC.

    PCWH CCS Windows Compiler for Baseline, Midrange, and PIC18 Families of PIC MCUs $500

    PCWHD Command-Line + IDE for PIC10/PIC12/PIC16/PIC18/PIC24/dsPIC $600

  • was going to buy ATMEL........why haven't they bought them yet.

    PICC & PICBASIC.........why spend $250 for a PIC compiler when you can get an AVR compiler $99?

    The PIC crowd likes to waste resources and money.............

  • Sorry if you invested lots of money in Atmel or Microchip stock....then the market crashed.

    At your age, I would guess you lost lots of money due to the market losses.

    You know darn well Atmel has a card up their sleeve and Microchip can't wait to get their dirty hands on it.......say a proprietary process technology?

  • This teen doesn't know that Microchip Technology was going to buy ATMEL.

    Assembly? What about MPLABC18, PICC, PICBASIC, etc...

  • teslaresearch,

    You sound a lot like a teenager who thinks they know it all.

    Sorry, but in the real world, the PIC's market share is larger than Atmel's AVR Market share.

    The PIC has done VERY well in the market and no amount of Fanboy, "Atmel......AVR..... Faster, cheaper......" will ever change that.

  • Atmel......AVR..... Faster, cheaper..........an instruction per clock cycle, none of that divide by 4 stuff (like PIC does).......plus the AVR's RISC architecture has way more general purpose registers.

    PIC is meant for people who are bored out of their minds and have a lot time to spend writing code in assembly.

  • Who is the girl?
