A terrible cover .Rock and Roll was more than this bunch of noise!

didn't the sax player just have a stroke not long ago? my dad told me about these guys...they're cool.

This song was the first international rock and roll hit when recorded by Bill Haley in 1954. The song remains the same.

Pretty good version of Shake, Rattle and Roll until the solo...except for the fact that Bruce was posing and pretending that he was playing (see strumming at :46)...

An excellent take on an old classic and i agree also that was a nice wee bit of Blues playing from Bruce which is quite unusual for him to play.

Hey I was there! Great Show. I saw Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis perform.

What a great version of "the prototype" of rock&roll.
Bruce's version was similar to the original version of this song done by Big Joe Turner, not the more common rock-n-roll version made famous by Bill Haley & the Comets. You should know what you are talking about before you take such cheap shots at the Boss or anyone else. But then again if you knew ANYTHING about music you'd be a musician rather than just a complainer!

Bruce never fired the E Streeters-he just wanted to work solo for a few years. As far as the tempo of the song, this was an incredible bluesy version more similar to the original Big Joe Turner version than the more familiar rock-n-roll version made famous by Bill Haley & the Comets. But then again if you knew anything about music I would not have to point out the obvious, would I?
