Ferrari 360, Corvette Z06 VS Porsche Cayman S - Trackday

I am on the corvette and the Ferrari.

The Ferrari yields. Second lap at Ricochet the corner station holds a blue and Yellow passing flag for the corvette. Either he does not see it, or he ignores it.

The Corvette has more power, but he holds me up in the tight corners.

to be fare to the Z06 the track has so many turns whereas the z06 cant handle turns like that at a high speed. If it were a straight way the z06 would shit on the ferrari. Oh and by the way, ARE YOU SERIOUSLY comparing a cayman s to a z06 and a ferrari?!

@Triplethreat600 Its amazing what a decent set of nittos and a proper alignment can do for a z06. I prefer nitto nt05 myself however.

Alow me to revamp.

these Italian and german cars are not for everyones flavor.

American cars...especially the Z06 is a designed track car , for a pittance.

add a few FEW mods and its a monster .

nothing is wrong with being pro American.....most people want to live here rather than were you all live.

I've done trak days.....and when we street race it aint a striaght line.....its a 4 mile

course for a new developement that stalled.

I'm what is right about America...i take their cars and finish them with CO. brtake upgrades suspesion and proper rubber..

You Know how much better a Zo6 runs on PS2 than on runflats.....rival the Zr1 in straightline.......funny how they made a track carbon fiber Zo6 instead of a Zr1

@unknownunknowns It's gonna be interesting to see what the new head of Porsche does here. The sky's the limit. There's talk of axing several models, so some revamping of current models, also, isn't out of the question, I don't think. It's exciting to see the changes going on right now in the automotive industry. Some good and some bad, but it's a change. At NO time in the history of the sports car, have they been faster/safer/more powerful/ better than they are right now. Very exciting stuff!

@unknownunknowns I totally agree with you. Sometimes it's better to let an icon rest before it becomes outdated or bested by a newcomer. It's kind of like watching an old heavyweight boxer who doesn't know when to hang the gloves up, and keeps taking on new blood until they become a joke and ruin there legacy. Nothing worse than seeing that. Nothing says that it can't come back someday. Why not let the Cayman/boxter be the test vehicle to find a better way to bring back the 911 even stronger?
