Beckham is probably one of the one players in the world who you can't say that about. He doesn't play for money, he doesn't need it. He financed a large chunk of his move back to Milan out of his own pocket, just to further his England career. If he was playing for money he would just retire from International football and get fat in the states playing in the Mickey Mouse league getting paid shitloads.

That free kick didn't make him famous lol. He was doing that for Man Utd week in week out. He was already England captain in that game, how can you be captain of England football team and not be famous you idiot.
He was made famous for the one for England vs Columbia and the goal in the Prem against Spurs.

It wasn't just about the free kick in that game he almost single handedly make sure we got enough out of the game to qualify. A true legend!
