Removal of the gallbladder has evolved and continues to do so. The less incisions made, the less chance for pain, bleeding, infection, and hernias. This procedure will become the standard of care within the next 2 - 5 years.

  • no, one can do disastor at one day by this technique...............

  • If you remotely think you are unsure about what you see to clip and cut, always be safe and place as many trocars needed to gain the best exposure and avoid any disasters you may be inferring to. Thanks Dr. Wahab for watching my video.

  • i agree with your advise.

  • Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) combines the cosmetic advatage of NOTES and the familiarity and relative low cost of conventional laparoscopic surgery.

Regarding the quality of surgery, with the aid of flexible instruments, triangulation is restored and quality is unaffected.

With the evolution of needlescopic instruments, they can aid with SILS.

Finally, with transumbilical surgery you are operating exclusively from one of the safe zones of the abdominal wall, away from vessels.

  • I Disagree you saved the patient a 1 cm incision? and reduced the quality of surgery
