Signing History
As the first generation to learn sign language in my family, I know firsthand how hard it can be to learn a language later in life.
So when my son, William, turned 4 months, I started signing "mommy", "daddy", "eat", and "drink" to him.
This video was taken March 16, 2010 and Mighty William was 7 1/2 months old.
I just want all the new parents out there to consider this. The average child doesn't say their first word until they are 12 months (or 1 year) old.
The average signing baby makes their first sign around 9 or 10 months. That's two months with less frustration for both mommy and baby.
Thanks for watching and good luck with your little signing babies!!!
That's awesome
