HOW TO: $5-10 butterfly DIY wall decor

There are many options on what materials to use. The cheapest alternative would be to cut out butterflies from paper and position them on the wall with a piece of tape, then trace around them and paint like I did.

You could also stick them up on a more matte wall paint and enjoy them as is, or make a stencil to paint from.

There is no need to paint the butterflies first if you plan to trace them and paint the wall. I thought they would stick, otherwise I would have put them up pink just for tracing around.

i did this different i did get like white board paper i got black paint and it did took me like 3days to cut and paint the butterflies i went to staples got the mountain tape which is two sides sticky i cut up little pices and yup it looks like there 3d am thinking on doing a tutorial but my computer is not getting pictures and videos up so ama have to fix it but thanks for inspiration my husband love it alot thanxxx:)

Could you have used the "negative" part from the sticker packet as a stencil???

holly shit, you`re such a big mouth...u talk like a desperate. Fisrt I saw the paper buterflies on the wall...an` a said...yap that`s a good job, they look marvelous...but then when I saw that you`re so stupid to draw them on the wall...they look like shit...and you talk and talk and gosh it will be the freaky nightmare for some guy to wake up in the morning with your bla bla bla over his head.

A 12 Flat Brush was used for fill in, and then looked like a 3 Long Round to outline. You could have also kept the stickers up by using spray adhesive to keep them on then let dry and then apply a gloss varnish over them completely. Would have made them stay with adherence, and sealed them to the gloss finish paint.
