Nice to see someone teaching Yoga in the context of spiritual awareness, as it should be and not a westernized dumbed down version of it, for popular consumption and commercial purposes only. I love your videos, thank you for taking the time to make them.

Wow, you make it look so easy .lol. Have been practicing Ashtanga for two or so years now... you mention dedication, how long did it take for you to get to where you are and how regularly did you practice? Better yet to make it less personal, how do you recommend practicing for someone who wants to take it seriously? Thanks.

Thank you for your comment. I learned yoga 40 years ago from the Sivananda organization in Val Morin Canada. The changes in hathabyoga over the years has been interesting. Bikram , vinyasa, all types of hot yoga, Viniyoga , restorative, gentle on and on . As a physical practice Mysore ashtanga is certainly impressive and the dedication it took to achieve your level is admirable. Not many will achieve you level. Namaste.
Do you think at 24 almost 25 I am to old to get to the level you at...flexability wise. also, I cant afford formal training...is it possable to get where you are on my own?

Hi, I have a question on the asymetry of this demonstration: your leg behind the head sequence is quite asymetric with buddhasana and durvasana only on one side
Do you practice offline the other way around, or does it depend on hip flexibility difference?
Anyway, this mix of nice asanas from multiple series is really nice: thanks for uploading

@LouisPlisso In daily practice yes, I do both sides equally but for the demo I just figured it would expedite and only do one side so you wouldn't get bored watching ;-)

@bobmiller49 I was not strong at all when I started Ashtanga Yoga--I've learned all the strength through years of dedicated practice.
