On August 21, 1911 the Mona Lisa disappeared from the Louvre. Two and a half years later, it was recovered in Florence in the hands of Vincenzo Peruggia, an Italian workman who claimed to have stolen Da Vinci's masterpiece to return it to Italy.
Writer/director Joe Medeiros uncovers the real reason Peruggia stole the painting and shares it with the 84-year old daughter of the thief who was a baby when her father died.
The film maker wastes to much time talking about himself.
