@oldhacks Funny how every election year, conservatives who are against that evil, socialistic Social Security put themselves forward as its protectors.

The main problem is that many people consider S.S as their lives savings. With the cost of living and the economy declining, this "nest egg" is not enough. Dependency is a killer.

what about central planning supported by the majority?

i dont advocate any government programs without a federal referendum backing it.

yea. old people deserve to die on the streets. you're right

But old people are still dying on the streets today after 60 years of Social Security. I guess we'll just have to add Universal Healthcare, right? That'll surely fix the problem once and for all and then no more old people dying on the streets, hooray for Central Planning!

take away the word "central" and all you have is common sense. god forbid people Plan for the future.

I totally agree with you. Central Planning enforces one plan on everyone, whereas each Individual Plan is suited to the best interests of that individual doing the planning.
