Actually mr panterahead. Yours is a common misconception. Israel did not defend itself from 'invading' arab armies in 1948. Those arab armies came at the request of the people within whom sovereignty resided in palestine, namely, the palestinian people. the Arab higher Committe requested assistance to help them defend themselves against the terrorist activities of the zionists.
