Audacity tutorial for getting music from non-downloadable sources, such as videos.

NOTE:
Audacity is obviously needed and also the LAME MP3 encoder to create MP3 files. LAME is actually the name of the encoder and can be downloaded here http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3
Also, Audacity can be found here (I wouldn't recommend getting the beta) http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Also, if you can't see stereo mix or anything in your combo box, and you are using Windows Vista, or have any other problems while using Audacity and Windows Vista, read this article: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_OS

If you have any problems, feel free to email me at BrandonJhns@gmail.com.

  • @Dunah2010, I did all that, mine doesn't even have a "what you hear" or "stereo mix" option :| and i have windows 7.

  • @ladybabe297 same here

  • @Dunah2010 Thank you soooo much!! I really appreciate it!! :D

  • @MissRock1996 If you're using windows vista or W7: Go into your control panel , open up "SOUND". Click on the RECORDING Tab. Now usually you'll only have one, maybe 2 things in this list, heres what you do: Right click anywhere in the white area of this list, a sub menu appears:Click on "Show Disabled Devices". Now the list allows you to select "What you hear" or "Stereo Mix". You must select the disabled "What you hear" or "Stereo Mix" and right click on it to select "Enable". That's it.

  • i cant choose stereo on the tool mixer box why
