@PilleDigital works nor faith alone saves us as James tells us, as well as Eph 2:8,9. Once save by repentance( a 180 degree turn from sin) and faith in Christ for the sacrifice and atonement for sin, we will do good works as a result of what Christ did. Catholics believe they can earn their way to heaven by striving to be "good" and they don't seek the kingdom. Isaiah 64:6 says that our righteous acts are like filthy rags to God and we are justified by faith, not works
@PilleDigital do you know what being born again is?, and infant baptism isn't biblical. A christian becomes baptized after submitting to Christ, dying with Him, then raising into newness of life with Him. It is not a tradition or concept, but a reality if you've been born from above. When "priests" perform baptism on infants, they're just giving them a bath. Do you really want me to get started on catholic unbiblical traditions?
Also, tradition is something that cannot be avoided after 2000 years. History happens, and things that have to be adjusted to. Also, an important tradition in imagery inside of churches are because of the history of illiteracy. Images are ways that early Christians (Catholics) shared the Gospel.
One last thing. Good works are in fact necessary for your salvation, you can't claim to believe in God, and continue to sin, it takes work. Matthew 7:21, Matthew 15:18.
Dude, Catholics canonized the Bible with which you like to attack us with. Stop misinterpreting Catholic beliefs. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus declared Peter as his successor and built His church that way. He also said that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Are you saying Jesus is wrong?
Furthermore, Catholics are in fact "born again," it's called baptism, our first sacrament.
@pavlovich53 Jesus said, "unless a man be born again, he/she shall by no means inherit the kingdom of God." Most catholics are not born from above and rely on their religious traditions and good works to earn their way to heaven, which is NOT biblical. "Accepting" Christ doesn't save you. Only by His shed blood on the cross through repentance and faith does. God knows who are His and isn't mocked
@dudsisfake there is no denominations in God's Word and catholics aren't christians once again. They went astray from the early church and started their own man made religion which is not of God. You won't be an atheist the day you die."The fool has said in his heart there is no God"
@34craigjan Catholicism is merely a denomination of Christianity like so many others. There are 2 billion Christians in the world, 1 billion of which are Catholics.
p.s I'm an atheist by the way in case you thought was a catholic.
@dudsisfake the early Jews were the first christians and catholics went astray and formed their own religion based upon man made traditions, so they do not follow Jesus Christ and the current pope is NOT a representative of Christ on earth. There are many unbiblical things in catholicism.

@34craigjan Catholics accept Christ as savior and have been around since the beginning the sacraments and traditions are biblically based

@34craigjan Well obviously the bible would say that. But if I were looking for instruction to lead my life I would stay far away from the bible.
