@pyrosimple it reacts with the heat
doesn't require water, as long as it gets heated enough
but water is good to make sure that the inside gets well heated as well
he stated you can use a hair dryer

does it melt only in water?

Wow, if the music was just a little louder I wouldn't be able to understand anything you said.

awesome song, it's called underwater love by smoke city
It is biodegradable, but up until the point where it starts to decay, you can reuse it as many times as you like.
I've had a piece on the windowsill in direct sunlight for 3/4 months and it's only just started to go brittle, so if you keep it away from extremes of heat and light it'll last for years.
I'm not sure chalk dust would be strong enough to colour it nicely, it'd come out a bit...pastel, I think :D

Thanks mate,
I tried using food dye and ended up coloured nothing but myself lol, but I did try powdered graphite and that works quite well - mix it in with the granules before the water and then knead it in to even out the colour after pouring.
The water doesn't mix with the polymorph in any way, so non-water soluble dyes will work best, powdered preferably.
Hope that helps
