  • @coolrattan my block has the following. 2 retired couples on SS, a brain surgeon, 2 artists/musicians, and several sets of college student roommates. Me a librarian. The range is from $20,000-$300,000 annual income on ONE block. Everyone seems happy.

  • @ohmofomega didn't your architecture professor ever tell you that? he is great

  • @coolrattan It's not so much that people of different income groups do not like to live together, but that zoning codes and suburbia in general encourages the segregation of people by income, even if it's just $100k apart in terms of house value. He even states how people prefer to live in small towns than in suburbs, and it's in those small towns that people of lower income can live in granny flats and above stores while those with more can own their own houses while still being a community.

  • dued...obviously the people of different income group do not like to live together......the architect in the video seems to disagree with the statement.....could anyone elaborate

  • Suburbia is god's wrath on us!
