@ajmc1992 As you may be aware, a relationship with God begins with faith, acting on a desire to know I asked of the truth it and received an unmistakable answer. There is no question in my mind of what I was given and shown by the Holy Ghost.

do you seriously believe a teenage boy magically dug up some golden plates underneath a rock in the 1800's and actually talked to the sky wizzard! The mormon church didn't allow black people until 1978, (I wonder why?, oh yeah the guy who MADE IT UP was a racist little fucker in rural america) a full 14 years after the civil rights act!!!. @bomac10000 for the foundation of Prophecy by speaking to us, however, there is no permanent indwelling of the Holy Ghost unless that blessing is given by one who has the authority to do so. In this day, that power resides only among the Elders of the LDS Church.

Here's how it works: You start by not assuming what you want to prove.
If you finally come to prove that there is God, ...then that's it!, you have proven the existence of God.
If you find no proof of God, ...then that's it! your feet are firmly grounded on your faith. No proof, just a faith, a claim.
As for me, I claim that 32 of the most beatiful women of the world are in love with me!! Ah!, now here's a faith that makes me feel very nice!!

@rockbear51 Please state where Christ says there is no need for a Prophet after him? That is an incorrect supposition. Christ tells Peter that he knows he is the Christ by the Holy Ghost, thus, they are NOT mutually exclusive.
Deut 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty,... which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.
I guess that doesn't mean what he says it means either
