@bramptonjp It's Derry! Not Londonderry!

What a singer and storyteller. Have you ever witnessed passion and feeling like this. Absolutely
Beautiful. Ian, West coast Scotland.

Never have I heard anyone sing with such passion about their home town. I sat in the quiet of my room and listened to this all the way through and spilled a few tears at the end. I remember hearing Joseph Locke on the radio when I was a child but only saw him once on the tv performing at the London Palladium in the 90's. He still had a great voice.

I remember seeing placards of Josef Locke outside Blackpool's South Pier in the fifties. I doubt that his stage performances then would have bettered this one. Great stuff Jo.

@klokheten I wonderif anyone knows if J.L sang about the hands of Big Ben and I think he made a referance to the old queen mother

He was from Derry (Londonderry), he was a solider in the Irish Guards and a policeman in Ulster (Northern Ireland), a POP star in the 40s/50s in England, (Ulster, Northern Ireland, Ireland) should be proud to have produced such a talent
.
RIP Josef McLauglin, a credit to Derry and Ireland
