  • Frank says that "If they proved one day that God wasn't real I would still try to follow the Bible"...which part? The stoning to death of children who back-talk their parents? The killing of the Abominators? Have you even read the bible frank? Some of the most evil crap I've read in my life is in there, and they claim that it was commanded by God? That is a total Load of bull.

  • Yeah I've been seriously still blahing this around in my brain, and I don't know what the heck to think anymore. On one hand you have all these ....atrocities, and people are saying it was God's will. But then they say

  • .....lol well whatever, @_@ I don't know. I really have no clue what to make of this. I do agree that the contradictions are amazingly obvious in the bible. But I also recognize that maybe the bible is just a paint by colours, and we only follow what we know is right. Still no clue, but thanks for the comment.

  • Let me also point that im not a die hard Christan I drink and have sex with no marriage and i havent been to church in forever but I do beilive in God because I choose too ny because my parents told me too I have my own reasons for believing and if they proved one day God wasn't real I would still try to follow the Bible

and the Zeitgeist movie take it with a HUGE grain of salt

  • Hey thanks for the input guy, I totally appreciate it.

Gives me a nice perspective to work off of. I agree with a lot you said *nodnod*

Yeaahhhh I kinda had to just blink a few times on the Zeitgeist movie.

Thank you though, once again, for your comment.

  • o_O i have no idea why they wont post, but if you want to PM me the comment then go ahead and I'll make sure they post. Maybe youtube is doing some maintenance?

And I've never heard of this Zeitgeist Movie. But now I'm going to go check it out, Thank you very much actually for letting me know about this!

  • lol, I just noticed that I have the same head set as you, just thought that was kind of funny, lol

  • my suggestion that you forget about that fairy tale book and get on with your life .

  • Well, what I was told, Roman Catholics thought that Christ was speaking and teaching blasphemy to people. They thought he was crazy for saying he was God. And as we know Christ was and is God. So I suppose that if you say a blasphemy of God...One will think you are crazy to claim you're Christian. This is a horrible answer but I'm giving it my best ^-^

  • It doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure I'm atheist or have a chip on my shoulder because being one of God's children lack being a God myself and now feel more like the retarded inferior offspring of an immutable being. I mean of all the sins you commit, rejecting God is the easiest because there is no proof of his existence. Shouldn't the other sins be more unforgivable since we have the tools to reason right from wrong despite temptation.

  • i just assumed that cardinal rules were a construct of catholic dogma and accpeting Christ is a state of being that is ever being worked on in the path to finding a state of grace. And that heaven was just the communion with god and hell was merely the absence of gods love not by his choice but ours for not accepting it. The rest of the bible. The hard core rules seem to contridict the whole sermon on the mount.

  • To make things easier, somewhere here in YouTube are the series Who Wrote THe Bible?, Banned From The Bible 1 & 2, Richard Dawkins' Root Of All Evil?. Start with those. Then do more research, double-check the content of those films and let your own reason and logic prevail.

  • I understand what you're saying. Don't listen to anyone else. Let your own reasoning and logic prevail. Do your own research. We have all been "brainwashed" and "programmed" since we were born and it's very difficult to accept some facts; facts deliberately hidden from the general populace by a system which we accept as normal. In the end, the real truth shall set you free!

  • Sorry I posted that last comment three times. When Satan was kicked out of Heaven, he had known the Glory of God and chose to oppose Him. Since Satan rebelled against God while knowing God's power, he cannot go back into Heaven even if he were to repent and decide to trust in God again. I think this is the same idea. If you believe in God and then choose to curse God, then you don't get into Heaven.

  • Well, I looked the word "blasphemy" up in a concordance that tells the original Greek or Hebrew meaning of the word in its context, and the word "blasphemy" in Luke 12:10's context means to defame, rail on, revile, or speak evil (against). Also, the sense of the word means to speak impiously. No, I have not watched the movie, in case you were wondering.

I guess we can see this unforgivable sin in action when we recall that Satan was kicked out of Heaven when he put himself in front of God.
