I lucked out pretty hard when I heard this song on Pandora Radio. I had been trying to figure out the chords for a while, the tabs I found weren't acceptable and didn't sound right, so I ended up playing along with the recorded version until I found something I liked. I changed the bridge for two reasons:

One, because I don't really like the chord progression in the original (Forgive me Randy, it's just too advanced for my schoolboy ears)

And two, because I simply don't have the technical skill to play them if I tried. XD

Hope you enjoy!!

  • Pretty cool!

To me, in your version, the soothing in the song is in the foreground now.

    Just forget about BlaBlaLandEQ!

Other comment I would make is try out some more kind of gripping, touching ballads like this. Check out Daniel Johnston, for example, on these tunes - "True Love Will Find You In The End" & "Some Things Last A Long Time". Just thought, with UR unique interpretation U did here, U could make them ring with even more greatness. Best wishes. Continue to follow UR musical dream. Branch out & never give up. Never give into negativity. Take care. Thanks again 4 posting.

  • Impressive. Incredible. I'm glad I was able to discover this video. Originally I was looking for a live performance. It is a timeless song, a stamped classic. It's been done alot. Each performer brings their own magic to the mix. Often it is played faster. But U kept the right tempo & played it on guitar no less. This was filled with sentimentality & emotion; U tapped right into the heart of it. Tender vocals & soothing playing. Folk-oriented almost yet still 100% original.
