2004 Iowa at ASU Highlights 1/2

On a rainy September night, the #16 Iowa Hawkeyes come to Tempe and look to make it two in a row against the Sun Devils after a victory in Iowa City in 2003. But Andrew Walter and the Sun Devils come out firing and get revenge on Iowa. Anyone that was at this game will surely remember Tom Arnold acting like a buffoon and guaranteeing a win for Iowa over ASU. Loser!

Yeah Iowa won the year before but this game was so much sweeter because Iowa was favored and Tom Arnold was there and pretty much guaranteed a Hawkeye win. What a loser!

I would definitely say this game and the 23-3 loss at Iowa State in 2005 were the ones that most defied logic...especially when our offense had been so utterly explosive going into that game against the Cyclones. But as for the "worst" game, I'd have to go with the losses to Western Michigan at Kinnick in 1999 and 2007. Thank God we left the UNI game a winner...

Wow, this was a horrible game. Worst of the Ferentz era? Hmmm. Definitely most mysterious. It was twice as bad as NW in '06 though (score wise). And who can forget the sting of WMU in 07? I think I put this game between those two.

the worse game of the Ferentz era... the only time i remember giving up 44 points in a long, long time...

the delay and being on the road out west to go with that just killed us... we were so flat... and Arizona State had revenge on their mind coming out with all the emotion... not a good combo... to say the least...
