  • how much would it cost me to get my Mitsubishi Montero sport converted ?

  • That depends on your expectations. What your top speed and range requirements are. That vehicle is big and will require a lot of batteries!

  • A solution for the power brake issue is to run a hydraulic brake booster like many GM trucks use. That way the hydraulic booster can run off of the same pump as the power steering... electric hydraulic pumps are readily avaliable and MUCH quieter and efficient than a vacuum pump

  • Maybe quieter but I doubt more efficient in terms of energy use and definitely more complicated...

  • When choosing a vech to convert you would have to keep in mind no power equipment such as power steering or power brakes.

  • Most conversions have power brakes, unless the glider is very old. All you need to have an electric driven vacuum pump. Some even have power steering with a pump run by the main traction motor or an electric motor.

You guys really are "living the dream"! One day I will have one maybe not electric tho lol!

  • XD XD Dr Emett Brown :D:D

  • 1 pump, and 1 backup pump

  • Right, use full hydralics on the brakes generated off electric pump. The energy efficiency is decent.
