Ron Paul used the money to start Campaign For Liberty. A very active PAC that has been doing great things ever since.

He is fun to watch because he is "Politically Incorrect" and edgy but you have to realise at some point that his edge is by design. BULLSHIT: Ron Paul was against the civil war.

REALITY: Ron Paul doesnt think a civil war was the best way to end slavery. Also the civil war was more about state rights than slavery. Paul is in favor of state rights, and dont let liberals tell you that it means Paul is for slavery. Only a liberal can make that jump in logic.

@DARKMANIV I focus on the CONSTITUTIONALITY of the war. People seem to believe that any way of life they don't approve should be changed - by them. Working toward change is wonderful. Martin Luther King was one of the greatest men of our time. Overrunning a country (which the confederacy was, just as the foreign countries we now attack) is wrong. It is unconstitutional. It is counter-productive. And the carpetbaggers are now corporations, but the effect hasn't changed.

@mgentles3 Well its convenient and true. Its well known Lincoln was not an abolitionist, but there was a strong lobby by the abolitionist ( in the north) to end slavery. Eventually Lincoln did sign the Emancipation Proclamation. You focus on the legality of the war when should be considering the morality.

@DARKMANIV By the way, did anyone ever consider what the vast majority of whites were doing in the south during slavery? You know, then as now there were a few rich and a lot of poor. The poor were destitute. Why? They couldn't get a job because the rich had slaves to do the work. So probably 99% of the men who fought and died in that war were NOT fighting for slavery, but because their homes had been attacked, their freedom threatened, and their country called. Think about it.
